Introduction

For the effective supply of clean drinking water to cities and villages in the state, as per the Government Notification, General Administration Department, No. Shakani 1095/CR-289/18 (Ravka), dated 9th November 1995, an independent administrative department of “Water Supply and Sanitation” has been created. At present, Hon’ble Shri. Gulabrao Raghunath Patil is the Minister of the department and Hon’ble Smt. Meghna Deepak Sakore-Bordikar is the Minister of State. Shri. Sanjay Khandare (IAS) is functioning as the Principal Secretary and the administrative head of the department.
